What Will You Do? 🦾

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Data Scientist. In this role you will lead a small team working on data analysis and data modeling and of both internal and customer data across all Smartpricing products. You will lead and manage complex data science projects, develop and implement machine learning models & algorithms. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of statistics, machine learning and computer science, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

• You will lead and develop a team of data scientists.
• You will set the best practices and guidelines for data analysis and modeling.
• You will inform the product strategy and decision-making, together with more senior members of the tech team and communicate and visualize insights to multiple levels of stakeholders.
• You will define feature identification and integration, data pipelining, data munging and analysis, and develop explanatory, predictive, and prescriptive models using appropriate statistical methods, time-series analysis, supervised and unsupervised machine learning and natural language process

What Are We Looking For? 👀

• PhD or MSc in Computer Science / Data Science / Statistics
• 6+ years of experience in relevant data science role
• Proven experience with data analysis using linear models, multivariate analysis, stochastic models, sampling methods.
• Strong experience with Python (and the related ML and statistical frameworks) and SQL+NoSql databases.
• Fluent in English and Italian.
• 2-4 years of experience in managing people with direct reports.
• Experience with ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools and environments
• Experience with data structure, information retrieval and data mining
• Experience with Spark and/or Airflow
